Initially, the agency was operated in the traditional manner of most insurance agencies. Since December 1999 we made things happen to shape the agency as you find it today. We adopted a “Personnel Development” concept. Personal Lines Customer Service Representatives began to sell as well as service. Career paths were developed. We ceased to hire people for specific jobs ‑ each position in the agency became a training ground for promotion to the next level. Salary Administration was changed, enabling us to compensate our staff for their development.
