New CA State Bill Will Stop Drones over Fires

New CA State Bill will stop drones from flying over fires.

Drones forced planes out of the sky during the LA Fire earlier this month that left people inside their cars in the desert.

It’s easy to find a purchase a drone these days, just look on Amazon.com! More then 1 million travel in the CA skies alone, ran by governments, businesses, and individuals. Unfortunately, in CA, these drowns are getting in the way of firefighting efforts, which is a big problem.

7 out of 10 of the biggest fires in the United States History have occurred in CA. The last thing that our home state needs is interference from those risking their lives to save our people, wildlife, and buildings.

Lawmakers have now proposed a bill that would allow firefighters to knock drones out of the sky. Basically, under State Bill 167 , it would be unlawful to fly a drone over a wildfire. If passed, those wanting a “sneak peak” at the fires will be risking a high fine (it is already $1000 to interfere with firefighting efforts), as well as incarceration.
