Welcome to the 9th Annual MandaRUN featuring a 1/2 Marathon and 5 K Run.  In conjunction with the Mountain Mandarin Festival, the MandaRUN is presented by Energy Saving Pros and benefits the Loomis Basin Education Foundation.
The Half Marathon enjoys a unique point-to-point scenic route with gently rolling terrain.  The feedback from previous year’s participants has been great.  Many will come back for the route alone, which starts on High Street in Auburn.
The 5 K route is an out and back from Taylor Road in beautiful Loomis, CA.

The Flower Farm’s annual holiday arts and craft faire featuring local artisans demonstrating and selling their creations.  Attendees will find uniquely designed artwork and crafts such as jewelry, paintings, succulents, pottery, gourds, photography, botanical scarves and clothing, handmade pens, and Henna rocks and body art.  There will be live blue grass music by Nick Rhigos and Friends, mouth-watering fall café dishes, wine tasting at Casque Wines and all nursery plants and selected gifts in the gift shop will be 40% off.

What: Loomis Day Before Thanksgiving Day Parade

Come to Loomis to celebrate the day before Thanksgiving!   A favorite family event that is not to be missed!   The parade starts on Taylor Road at Walnut and heads down Taylor through Downtown Loomis, ending at King Road.

What: The 2015 Festival of Lights Parade
When: 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 5th (rain date Dec. 12).
Where:  Downtown Auburn Cherry and Lincoln Way Auburn, CA 95603 530-885-5616

The parade will begin at the corner of Cherry and Lincoln Way at 5:30 p.m.   This year’s theme is “The Gift of Christmas”.  Just imagine, an amazing night, as once again up to 14,000 attendees visiting the downtown portion of the parade route…  Shop lights glittering, carolers singing, and all the ambience of the season.    Children will delight in visiting Santa and his elves in downtown prior to the parade.   All of this happens at a classic family event that is free to the public.  Please bundle up for the cold and drive safely, the roads could be icy!!

What: Old Town Rocklin Tree Lighting

Old Town Rocklin Tree Lighting co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Rocklin and the City of Rocklin.  An all free event for the children of the Rocklin community held the first Saturday of December on Front Street in Rocklin’s Historical District. A fun filled evening, opening procession at 4 p.m., bounce houses, wagon and train rides, face painting, crafts, complimentary photos with Santa, hotdogs, chili, popcorn, cookies, hot chocolate, caroling, costumed characters,  performances by local musical groups, and the lighting of the Rocklin Holiday Tree 7:00 p.m.
